Mute coins, i.e. coins and fish have no voice?

Although for a numismatist each coin has something interesting to convey, this passion has a concept such as "silent coins". This term is used in relation to coins that do not have inscriptions (legend) and any signs allowing for an unequivocal identification of the issuer.

In Polish coinage, this term is mainly used for medieval coins, as this type of coins was mainly issued during this period. Classic examples of mute coins are brakteats and denars with crosses
