On the silver coins of the Third Reich, we can find an inscription that is difficult to decipher - on the edge. It is usually difficult to decode because it is written in German, in a neo-Gothic, concave type. If, in addition, the coin has a patina or dirt (as is usually the case) that perfectly covers the concave parts of the coin, then reading the inscription of the coin without cleaning it often becomes even impossible. So that it is not necessary to remove the original patina, risky soaking the coin in chemical solutions, or its polishing (!), we rush to explain.

On the edge of the silver coins of the Third Reich there is an inscription: "Gemeinnutz geht vor Eigennutz", or in free translation: "Common good before individual interest" - another element of the propaganda of those times, but now an interesting testimony to the history of not only Germany...
